Content: A polemical look at the way rich and powerful people maintain their position by advocating charity and win-win when that does not get close to raising the amount of money necessary to change things and becomes a way of undermining the legitimacy of tax, and even the existence of the state.

Relevance: I take it as axiomatic that those with privilege will protect it. I conclude that we need non-violent direct action, alternative power structures, a commitment to no violence and a refusal to compete for control of the state in what passes for representative democracy. Non of that is going to happen without a paradigm shift, and that needs, as a first step, the hard graft of telling an alternative story, and linking the many who just do it differently together.
